I went to Goodno, located in Glades County, on 8/9/2017.
According to the ghost town website,
In the 1800’s, E.E. Goodno established a railroad stop for cattle to be boarded on the way to Cuba. A small community sprang up around the stop until the 1926 Hurricane demolished and flooded most homes and drove off the residents. The General Store remained open for a tourist stop until just recently. E.E. Goodno actually made his home on the Fort Thompson site a little bit West of the Store. Look for the historical marker.
