Cedar Key is located in Levy County. I went there on 5/13/2016.
According to the Ghosttown website,
Cedar Key was at one time, one of the largest cities in the state of Florida. Until 1862, the key was a major shipping port in the hands of the confederates, but in 1862, the Union forces captured it. After the Civil war ended, the town grew and became a major ship building, timber and fishing center, but a hurricane that struck in 1896 destroyed most of the town. Today it is a fraction of the size it once was, but seves as a resort and fishing town.
